Dominion Cigars

In mid 2016 Dominion launched a maduro version of its very successful Black Lotus cigar. The blend itself is very similar to the natural, but features a Honduran six priming Sumatran binder, and a Nicaraguan habano maduro wrapper. The outcome is a cigar with smooth rich flavours of dark molasses, and creamy tobacco. In late 2016 Dominion also launched a maduro version of the Black Lotus  featuring a Mexican San Andreas wrapper.

The Black Lotus are a very smooth, complex and rich cigar with a medium to full body.  They are well constructed with a rich dark brown wrapper. Plenty of flavour notes to the cigar.

After several months of tweaking the blend, the outcome is a very smooth medium body cigar, featuring tobaccos from Ecuador and Nicaragua. Steve used a Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, jalapa binder and all fillers are from Nicaraugua. Boasting notes of a very fine sweetness, mixed with earthy subtleties makes it a great anytiime of the day smoke, and priced at an entry to mid level price point, that makes this cigar affordable.

To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Dominion Cigar president and owner Steve Ricker wanted to do a project that commemorated this special occasion, the limited edition Dominion Crow is here! Produced at the oldest cigar factory in the Dominican Republic La Aurora, with its rich heritage in the industry and producing premium cigars for over 120 years. Steve along with Manuel Ynoa the master blender at La Aurora of over 30 years have crafted this fine cigar.

Produced in Nicaragua at Placensia cigar, the Flor De Claro blend is made up of rich tobaccos from different regions of Nicaragua, such as Jalapa, Condega and Esteli. The wrapper is grown from Connecticut seed, but  in Honduras, yes Honduras, and is one of the only cigar brands using this smaller batch wrapper in the market to date. The outcome is a very well balanced medium bodied cigar, with slight hints of spice,cedar and notes of honey on the palette.

There’s a new gangster in town and the Dominion Kingpin cigar is here! This cigar is a true medium body cigar that packs a ton of flavour with a blend that encompasses seven tobaccos. The wrapper is something unique as its a hybrid tobacco from Brazil called “Cubra”, while the binder and fillers are a mix of tobaccos from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, resulting in a very well balanced flavourful cigar that evolves from the start to finish.

This is a brand new cigar from the Dominion cigar company as such not much information available yet.  Made from premium long filer tobacco from the Dominican with the barber pole finish two coloured wrapper, Connecticut shade and a San Andreas Maduro. The band also echos the Barber Shop pole design.

Medium - Full strength, with a San Andreas Mexican wrapper, Dominican binder and the fillers from Cuban Seed Piloto Cubano, Criollo ’98 and Corojo Medio Tiempo (Dominican Republic, Nicaragua). Tobaccos were aged for a minimum of 3 years before rolling.
