Rocky Patel

These beautiful cigars are handmade in Danli with a dark Ecuador Sumatra wrapper and binder, filler tobaccos from Nicaragua. This smoke produces a rich and creamy texture and delivers varied flavors like black cherry, chocolate, cream and a spicy nutty finish. The cigar is the best example of Rocky Patel’s amazing progress in the cigar industry.

 Handmade in Nicaragua, the Rocly Patel Decade Robusto has been given a rating of 92 by Cigar Aficionardo.  This is a full bodied smoke gives notes of cream, fruit  coffee with sweeter notes of Vanilla and toffee.  It has an Ecuadorian Colarado wrapper and a Nicaraguan binder and filler.  Developed to commemorate his first 10 years in the industry.

Ignition of this incognito recipe reveals a very rich character sprinkled with notes of earth, cedar and various spices. As you delve deeper into this cigar you’ll find creamy notes as well as a sweet, lingering aftertaste of almonds and black cherries.

While most cigars have one binder leaf, this one has two of them, one from Mexico and the other Nicaraguan. The filler is a mix of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco, and it’s all held together by an Ecuadoran wrapper. The result is lots of ground coffee, leather and hickory notes, with just a touch of spicy black pepper. Like many Rocky Patel cigars, the Emerald is box pressed, but he intentionally blended this one a little less powerful than he typically does for box-pressed cigars. Rated 95 by Cigar Afficionardo.

The Grand Reserve was first presented in April 2018 as part of the Mountain on Fire event in the Austrian Alps and is (currently) exclusively available in Europe. Distribution of the Grand Reserve series only started in October 2018. For the blend, which is kept secret, Rocky Patel dug deep into his treasure chest and used some of his oldest tobaccos. After production, the cigars matured in the aging room for a further two years.
